It's too bad we have to learn this lesson this way. A green world is a good world, I say, and the better time to do this was all along. A kick in the ass sure does go a long way.

New Urbanism takes hold. This is surely a good idea [to grow vegetables in an urban centre] and it will probably just make a dent the local market. If British and North American people are to sustain themselves with their own energies a serious dip in consumption is required. Us westerners are like a wood chipper for resources, spitting materials out broken and battered to be dropped in the landfill available for our developing-country world-citizens to salvage.

Some of my favorite psychedelic talks have been given out on this show. McKenna, Shulgin and more! Over 144 episodes. Better than average quality.

Well said! I've heard it said that us men train women (generally) in society by what sort of traits we chase after, whether it be dressing "sexy" having nice curves, or that air-headed giggle. In a sense chasing those types of women will help to let all women know they should be that way. So really, chase after a women who loves you back, has some reality stuffed somewhere in her head, and generally a women who isn't just a meatsock

From the age: "It's deeply American," said Xeni Jardin, an editor of BoingBoing. As for the family-friendly setting, she said, "It's like Burning Man without all the icky hippie elements, without the pants-free guy on a bike."

"I don't want to see a two-tier world where only the experts can survive ... and the non-experts are stuck between something they don't understand and something that limits them," Zittrain told Reuters in an interview.

Comprehensivists at the top have an advantage in that they can tell specialists what to do which directly affects where the general populace is ALLOWED to go and what the general populace is ALLOWED to do.

No longer do we have to flip through the channels passively accepting what flows out of the light-box. The power of the individual is strengthened by the power of the group who can do it's best to create, and destroy, accept and reject the flow of information. The information age has yet to really mature.

Just another example of the original intented meaning being corrupted by those who worship money and power. Very sad that women don't get the appreciation in balance with the part they play in our very existence.

Does a great job of explaining "my" generation. Great to skim over, checking out the summaries of the headlines. "Life-Shopping" "Peter Pan Syndrom" etc. SIRC provides nice data.
