This is really no surprise. Energy from hardly-sustainable sources is still rising in price and the cost of renewable and infinite resources is coming down. I'd love to have this kind of efficiency and energy freedom in an urban centre, though. Being the young person that I am living with a small community doesn't appeal to me, much, as I still have siginificant groowth to go through before I can be FINANCIALLY able. My paycheque now just wouldn't make ends meet in such a community.

It just goes to show that many of the best solutions have been starved out of the market by economic super powers often with no ecological responsibility on their perceived plate. This product simply wouldn't make enough money for someone. Look! This one is homemade, can probably be repaired with pieces from a junkyard or your local Wallymart and uses a fuel that you and I could grow ourselves. DIY has yet to mature. There isn't enough crisis. blah blah blah... I could go on.

YES! Less processing and circular systems = better for the environment. Using waste materials from consumers to build a house is a wonderful idea to curb the need for materials factories which are usually pretty big polluters. By taking advantages of the fruits of our solar system and planet we can live in homes easier to sustain in the long run.
